The Oxford County Red Flags document was distributed in the spring of 2009 to professionals in OxfordCounty who work with or provide support to children. It was designed to assist professionals in deciding whether to refer a child for additional advice, formal assessment, and/or where to refer for treatment. The document can be viewed at http://www.oxfordcounty.ca/Portals/_county/News/Red_Flags_March_2009.pdf.

In 2009 the Early Years Professional Development Committee was formed with representatives from local agencies that provide services to young children and their families.

"Mission: To provide frontline practitioners with specialized training and ongoing continuing education to achieve the broad range of knowledge and skills needed to provide services to children, youth and families in Oxford County."

The Early Years Professional Development Committee publishes a Child and Youth Bulletin for July Local professionals working with children, youth, and families can subscribe to to receive an e-Alert (email) when a new bulletin has been posted on this webpage.
