Recycling depots

Stop stockpiling your waste. Oxford County has an extensive waste diversion program in place, with year-round recycling depots available to residents six days a week at the Waste Management Facility (landfill) in Salford. The depots accept residential waste at no charge, as long as the recyclable materials are not mixed with regular garbage. In 2014, the County’s recycling depots diverted 15,000 tonnes of waste from the Waste Management Facility (landfill) (excluding blue box waste).

Use the tabs below to find information about where, when and how to recycle various types of waste in Oxford County. Each tab includes the location, hours and fees (if applicable) for the recycling of specific materials.

Upcoming Events

Non-curbside recyclable materials can be taken to one of the annual waste collection events held throughout the County for free.

Waste collection events are for residential customers from individual households only. We cannot accept garbage or recycling from a business, workplace, or waste greater than what would fit into a 5-gallon container.
