2018 Business Plan & Budget


The 2018 Business Plan and Budget will be before Council at the regular meetings on November 8, December 5, with final approval on December 13, 2017.

The budget process is your chance to learn more about how County programs and projects are funded, and to find out what's planned for the coming year. Review individual program budgets or download the entire Council business plan and budget package right from this page after they are released on November 10, 2017.

2018 Program Budgets

  • Human Services
    Integrated programs serving people in need of financial assistance, child care support and shelter assistance
  • Wastewater
    Oxford County owns and operates 11 wastewater systems including nine wastewater treatment plants serving more than 75,000 residents and various industries and commercial institutions.
  • Woodingford Lodge
    Resident-focused care provided through Woodingford Lodge locations in Woodstock, Ingersoll & Tillsonburg
  • Roads
    Oxford County roads are main artery roads between local area municipalities that are built for heavy loads and serve as connecting links to points within and outside the County, including Ontario highways 401 and 403.
  • Other

    This includes County services that provide leadership, administrative and operational support to other programs and services that directly impact the public, as well as Archives and Provincial Offences Administration.

  • Water
    Oxford County owns and operates 17 drinking water systems, monitoring 24/7 to ensure its safety.
  • Paramedic Services
    This includes the Oxford's Community Emergency Management program and Oxford County Paramedic Services, which operates from seven stations strategically located across the County. Paramedic Services delivers emergency care to about 10,000 patients annually and works with partners to improve health outcomes through its community referral program.
  • Facilities/Woodlands
    Through its Facilities team, Public Works manages and maintains all County facilities including administrative buildings, EMS sites, libraries, housing, and the three Woodingford Lodge sites. Woodlands is managed by the Water and Wastewater Services division which is responsible for protecting the County’s woodlands through by-law enforcement
  • Waste Management
    Oxford County manages a leading Waste Management program, extending the life expectancy of the municipal landfill by 30 years and consistently reaching top rankings for waste diversion in its class.
  • Public Health
    Working for optimal community health through programs in health protection, health promotion, paramedic care and emergency planning
  • Library
    14 branch locations for the free lending of books and other materials, free computer access and wifi, free programming for all ages, and downloadable electronic products for early literacy, recreation, and lifelong learning
  • Community Planning
    Oversees land use planning and supports community development in Oxford County and its eight area municipalities
