Oxford County Waste Mangement Facility only serving commercial customers, now closed on Saturdays

The Oxford County Waste Management Facility in Salford is serving commercial-use customers only at this time. The facility is closed on Saturdays until further notice. More

  

Bag tags: Responding to questions from the community

Oxford County acknowledges that people have questions and concerns about our continued requirement for waste bag tags. Based on this feedback, we are reviewing the ongoing requirement for bag tags.Bag tags are available where many shop for food, gasoline and convenience items and can be purchased on those outings. We recognize some residents who are in self-isolation may not have such access; for those specific residents, we ask you please contact us directly. Read the statement

  

Woodingford Lodge accepting patients waiting for long-term care

Woodingford's Woodstock site is accepting up to to eight temporary long-term care residents this week in an agreement with Woodstock Hospital. These are patients who are awaiting admission into long-term care and are only occupying hospital beds because there are no long-term care beds available to them at the moment. More
 

Provincial Offences Act court closure extended until further notice

The Oxford County Provincial Offences Administration office has extended its closure to the public until further notice. On March 15, 2020, the Chief Justice of Ontario cancelled Provincial Offences Act court dates between March 16 and April 3. Statement by the Mayors of Oxford County (March 23)

The County Warden and the Mayors of Oxford County's area municipalities released a joint statement affirming they are responding responsibly, cooperatively, and with the full strength of their resources to the pandemic crisis. Read the statement
 

County Council 

Following an amendment to the County's Procedure By-law, County Council is meeting only once a month in April and May instead of twice. For Council agendas and meeting details, check www.oxfordcounty.ca/council  


Accessing service at Oxford County Administration Building

The Oxford County Administration Building is now serving the public by telephone, email, or appointment between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. only. This means the general public will not be allowed to enter the building without a pre-booked appointment except for deliveries. The designated entry point for all pre-booked visits is the Peel Street entrance (south doors). Once you enter for an appointment, you will have to go through a screening process that includes taking your temperature with a touch-free infrared thermometer. More.

Oxford County Human Services (social assistance, housing and children’s services) remains open by pre-booked appointment only, or by telephone or email. If you're a social housing tenant, please note that maintenance repairs will be limited to essential ones that impact safety. Oxford County Library

All 14 Oxford County Library branches are currently closed. The Library continues to offer a range of online programming, including tools and resources for children and students available in the “eLibrary” at www.ocl.net.
 

Oxford County Archives

The Oxford County Archives office is currently closed. Archives continues to respond to research inquiries through email at archives@oxfordcounty.ca or by phone at 519-539-9800, ext. 3918.
 

Paramedic Services

Paramedic Services (ambulance) is well prepared, resourced and taking all precautionary measures. On behalf of local healthcare partners, Paramedic Services is seeking donations or supplies of personal protective equipment. More
