Updates

Oxford County Administration Building returns to regular business hours

Pre-booked appointments are no longer needed to visit Oxford County offices, but to protect the health and safety of everyone on site, all visitors must report to the screening desk in the main lobby when they arrive.

Visitors may complete an online screening form on their mobile device ahead of time at https://www.oxfordcounty.ca/covid19screening and then show their “pass” screen at the desk to enter. Access to the building is from the Reeve Street or Peel Street doors only. Thank you for your continued cooperation and patience as we respond to Ontario’s Roadmap to Reopen.



Oxford County Library branches open for in-person browsing

All OCL library branches are now open for in-person browsing. Please note that masks are required and physical distancing measures are in place. Curbside service is available to anyone unable to wear a mask.

As occupancy rates are currently limited, please plan your visit to the Library and limit your time in the branch so that all wishing to do so may have an opportunity to enter within the limited available open times. Public computer use is available at some library branches by appointment.

Oxford County Waste Management Facility open for residential use (effective June 11)

Effective Friday, June 11, the Oxford County Waste Management Facility (landfill) re-opened to residential customers for under regular operating hours of Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Remember, guidelines for physical distancing and face coverings still apply. Updated visitor guidelines at Woodingford Lodge

Starting July 16 Woodingford Lodge is allowing both indoor and outdoor visits with no limits on the number of visitors permitted. Visitors must follow specific guidelines dependent on the immunization status of the visitor and resident. For details please see the visitor guidelines.

  

Human Services open to the public​

Oxford County Human Services (social assistance, housing and children’s services) is serving residents by pre-booked, in-person appointments, or by telephone or email. Please contact Human Services at 519-539-9800 or 1-800-755-0394, or email humanservices@oxfordcounty.ca with any inquiries.

    

Oxford County Paramedics offering rapid COVID-19 testing

Oxford County Paramedic Services is offering COVID-19 rapid testing program using ID Now COVID-19 Analyzers that can perform a 15-minute test. Appointments are booked through the Woodstock Hospital Assessment Centre and take place at the Oxford County Paramedic Services Mill Street station. More information can be found here.

  

EarlyON Child and Family Centres

EarlyON Child and Family Centres offer free and engaging programs throughout Oxford County for parents and caregivers with children aged 0-6 years. Outdoor programs are now being offered in addition to EarlyON's existing Virtual Village programs. Provincial Offences Courts resume by audio and video appearance

Provincial Offences Courts have resumed by audio and video appearance (Zoom) only. There will be no in-person court appearances until further notice. If you have requested a trial on a Part I matter (ticket) the trial will be scheduled by Zoom video appearance. County Council during COVID-19

Oxford County Council meetings are being held electronically until further notice. Meetings are broadcast live at www.oxfordcounty.ca/livestream and posted afterwards in the Council section of the website

  

Oxford County Archives open by appointment only

The Oxford County Archives is open to the public by appointment only Monday to Wednesday between the hours of 10:00am-4:00pm. Appointments must be booked at least 48 hours ahead of time and are limited to one researcher per appointment OR researchers from the same household.
