Immunization helps protect your child against serious and potentially life-threatening illness.
In Ontario, children are eligible for free vaccinations for several communicable diseases. These include polio, tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, measles, mumps, rubella, influenza (“flu”), and numerous others.
If your children are not vaccinated, they are at risk of contracting these diseases or spreading them to others. Your child may also be excluded from school or daycare during an outbreak.
For more information about immunization, including a schedule of free vaccinations for children in Ontario, please see the parent resources below.
If you have questions, please call 519 539-9800 / toll free: 1 800 755-0394 and ask to speak to a public health nurse about immunization.
