Beachville Area Air Quality Assessment

County Council approved the Beachville air-shed work plan on June 25, 2014 in response to community concerns about air quality in the Beachville area. The Beachville Area Air Quality Assessment follows a history of concerns and complaints about air quality monitoring for aggregate (quarry) operations in the area.

The assessment is being led by Oxford County Public Health in partnership with Public Health Ontario and the University of Guelph, in consultation with the Ontario Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change. The project will collect new, independent air quality data and examine scientific research on whether or not aggregate operations impact air quality and affect human health.
