A Profile of Wellbeing in Oxford County
Report investigates how wellbeing in Oxford County compares to other regions across Ontario and Canada
"A Profile of Wellbeing in Oxford County with Comparisons to Ontario and Canada," developed by the Canadian Index of Wellbeing and the University of Waterloo was released in April of 2018. The report evaluates Oxford County's level of wellbeing in relation to other locations – the West Region of Ontario, the province overall, and Canada – to identify Oxford County's strengths and provide insight into areas for improvement that serves as guidance for future work.
The Profile of Wellbeing follows the 2016 Oxford County Community Wellbeing Survey, and continues work that furthers Oxford County's commitment to improving quality of life for all.
The Canadian Index of Wellbeing (CIW) focuses on those things that Canadians have identified as being most important to them – thriving and vital communities; opportunities for lifelong learning and to engage in the democratic process; a sustainable environment; good health; economic security; leisure and cultural opportunities; and work-life balance. The interplay of these domains and the ways in which they interact and reinforce one another, define and influence our overall wellbeing as individuals and communities.
