Household hazardous waste depot

It's dangerous to stockpile or place your household hazardous waste in your blue box or in the garbage.

Bring these items to the household hazardous waste depot open three days every week, all year round!

Things we accept...

  • Paints and coatings plus their containers 
  • Solvents
  • Motor oil and oil filters plus their containers
  • Batteries (auto, alkaline and rechargeable)
  • Antifreeze and its containers 
  •  Pharmaceutical 
  • Sharps (needles, lancets-must be in a sealed puncture proof container)
  • Propane tanks and other pressurized containers 
  • Fluorescent light tubes and bulbs
  • Pesticides, lawn fertilizers and their containers
  • Household cleaners 
  • Aerosols 
We do not accept PCB waste, Asbestos, Radioactive waste, Flares, fireworks and ammunition, Pathological waste, Open or leaky containers

Container size limited to a 5 gallon pail. The depot will accept household hazardous waste generated within Oxford County residences only.


Orange Drop is an industry-funded recycling program aimed at keeping hazardous and special waste materials out of Ontario’s landfills and waterways.  The Orange Drop Program allows Ontarians to return designated materials to local Municipal HHW Depots, retail sites and collection events across Ontario.
