Happy with your garbage collection?

Oxford County Public Works asking for feedback on garbage and recycling programs to help with future planning

Take the eSurvey now

The County of Oxford is asking everyone who lives in Oxford County to take part in an online survey to help understand people’s satisfaction with, and attitude towards, garbage and recycling collection.

The survey, available online at oxfordcounty.ca until March 19, asks people who live in Oxford’s eight municipal communities for their opinions on a number of issues, including:

  • if they are satisfied with how often their garbage and recycling is collected;
  • how they get information about waste collection;
  • if they know about the County’s special collection depots; and
  • if the County is doing enough to divert waste from landfills.

Feedback from the public will be used to help plan future garbage and recycling services for Oxford County, for instance, deciding whether or not to adopt an organic waste or “green bin” program to divert food waste from landfills.

A final integrated waste management report will be presented to County Council in the fall of 2012. The last time the County undertook a study of garbage and recycling services was in 2004.

To request a paper copy of the survey, call 519-539-9800 or 1-800-755-0394.
