Tender Notice: Woodstock Wastewater Treatment Plant Substation Replacement Project

CONTRACT No. 950132-2017

Sealed tenders, clearly marked as to contents, will be received by Oxford County until Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. local time for work generally consisting of:

  • Replacement of existing Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) substation with new substation
  • Modifications to the WWTP’s existing concrete encased trenches and manholes 
  • Modifications to the WWTP’s communications that pass through existing substation
  • Removal of existing substation including grounding, fencing H-frame structure, and site restoration

DEPOSIT AND BOND. Each tenderer must submit with the tender document a tender deposit of $80,000 in the form of a certified cheque, bank letter of credit, or bid bond, as well as an agreement to bond. The successful tenderer will be required to furnish a $400,000 (or 50% of bid amount) performance bond and a $400,000 (or 50% of bid amount) labour and material payment bond at the time of execution of a contract.

PRE-TENDER SITE MEETING. A non-mandatory, pre-tender site meeting to be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at the site (195 Admiral Street, Woodstock).

TENDER DOCUMENTS. Tender documents, in PDF format on a compact disc (CD), will be available Friday, August 25, 2017, at 12:00 p.m. and may be obtained from Customer Service at the address below with a non-refundable payment of $20.00 (HST included).

Tenders will be opened in public after 2:00 p.m. local time on Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at the Oxford County Administration Building at 21 Reeve Street, Woodstock.
