Oxford Paramedic honoured with Ontario Award for Paramedic Bravery
Superintendent Russell Chase has been honoured with the Ontario Award for Paramedic Bravery for performing an act of exceptional courage.
Chase helped to save a child, struggling in water while he was on vacation in August of 2014. Chase and another swimmer reached the father and son and managed to help the boy to safety, despite a strong undertow and riptide.
Chase was honoured at a ceremony in Toronto on May 31, 2017 along with seven other paramedics from across the province.
