Don't Quit Quitting

Oxford County Public Health is offering select workplaces a quit smoking program called ‘Don’t Quit Quitting’

This program offers employees of four workplaces support to quit smoking through:

  • information,
  • one on one support; and,
  • 10 free weeks of nicotine replacement therapy patches (made available through the STOP program).

This pilot initiative is funded by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care and led by a select group of Public Health Units across Ontario. It is being offered from July 2013 until March 2014. There are many partners involved with this program, including: STOP (Smoking Treatment for Ontario Patients), PTCC (Program Training and Consultation Centre), OTRU (Ontario Tobacco Research Unit), Smoker’s Helpline and the Ministry of Health and Long term Care.
